The Lower Mokelumne River Watershed Stewardship initiative helps residents understand how everyday household activities affect local water quality—and how simple changes can protect the river.

About The Program

This voluntary stewardship program provides residents with practical tools to evaluate their property and reduce non-point source pollution. The User’s Guide focuses on small, achievable actions that collectively improve water quality in the Lower Mokelumne River.

Get Involved

Community participation is an important part of the Lower Mokelumne River Watershed Stewardship effort. Residents, landowners, and local partners are encouraged to get involved by learning more about the watershed and taking simple steps to help protect water quality.

 

The Stewardship Steering Committee meets virtually on the fourth Friday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
